The ballets of Mats Ek: Baryshnikov and Guillem
Балеты Матса Эка: Барышников и Гиллем
Two studio recordings of theatrical works by Swedish choreographer Mats Ek are combined into one evening. "The Place" and "Bye" are performed by the greatest ballet artists who are concluding their dance careers. However, when it comes to Mikhail Baryshnikov and Sylvie Guillem, the brightest stars of the 20th century, there is no need to speak of weakness or age. These performances are united not only by the choreographer's authorship but also by the sense of incredible inner strength, boundless love, and dedication to the profession.
